The 2024 “Run for Dad” Fun Run

Be a superhero!

Start Father’s Day with the Bendigo’s “Run For Dad” fun run at Bendigo Racecourse.
Run For Dad is designed to raise your heart rate and much-needed funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. We’re calling on families from across Bendigo and beyond to dress up as their favourite superhero to support the heroes fighting prostate cancer.
Entries Close at 10 pm Sat. 31st. but you can enter on the day from 9 am. Adults $60, 18 and under $20.
After your run, enjoy a free breakfast provided by some of the local Rotary clubs.

WHERE / WHEN / HOW FAR?

Where Bendigo Racecourse, Heinz St, White Hills (Google Map)
When: Father’s Day – Sunday 1st September 2024
Start Time: 10am
How far: 8 km Run (Two Laps of inside track around the race course, with extended loop) or 3.75 km Run / Walk (One Lap
What should you wear: Your favourite superhero outfits (oh, and comfortable running clothes, too)

Bib Collection: On the day from 9 am at the Racecourse or on Friday or Saturday at Macdonalds Nursery, 88 Retreat Rd, Spring Gully.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a NO DOG event

What do you get?

ALL participants will receive:

  • A Finisher’s Medal
  • A FREE bacon & egg breakfast provided by some of the local Rotary Clubs.
  • Self serve Tea and Coffee.
2024 Results

ABOUT THE COURSES

3.75km Run / Walk

The 3.75km course features ONE LAP around the outside of the Bendigo Racecourse before returning to the finish line directly.

8km Run

The 8km course features TWO LAPS around the outside of the Bendigo Racecourse, before completing an extended section around the perimeter towards Racecourse Road. Participants will then complete a hairpin and return to the finish line directly.

ABOUT THE CAUSE

Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia

Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia are dedicated to reducing the impact of prostate cancer on Australian men, their partners and families, recognising the diversity of the Australian community.

They do this by:

  • Promoting and funding world leading, innovative research into prostate cancer
  • Implementing awareness and advocacy campaigns and education programs for the Australian Community, health professionals and Government
  • Supporting men and their families affected by prostate cancer through evidence-based information and resources, support groups and Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurses.
